It would be useful to have the ability to tie specific templates to specific users so only certain people can see certain report templates in the online portal. Say a template is more specific to QA use then only individual users with permission can see that template and generate reports for it.
This is already a feature of the product. You can configure Template Access as detailed on page 6 of this document:

This will allow you to configure the specific user groups who have access to the template.
