I use shorthand when labeling alarms and define the abbreviated terms in the "say as" tab. This way the operator can hear the correct/expected terminology. This saves me time on the front end as an integrator and helps keep systems consistent.
Through the voice notifications these abbreviated terms are being spelled out or sounded out as jumbled words. Getting a call at 2 am and trying to listen to the spelling of abreviations to decipher an alarm is frustrating in the least.
