When your latest application fails over to the redundant server the redundant server is made active but the primary server is not placed into standby mode. This creates a situation in which both systems dial out for every alarm. When the redundant machine is made active the system should deactivate the primary system so only a single server is responding to any active alarm. The recipients become confused or angry when they receive two calls for every alarm.
