We upgraded to XLR 15.2 with the new interface. One unpleasant feature is instead of the notes added to cells where tag data is placed, the tag headings now automatically populate above the target cell. This serves no purpose and if you have data stacked, it creates a readability issue on the template. We resort to deleting the headings once changes are completed and saved through the connect function, but if you make changes again, you're back to square one. A very annoying feature that serves no functional purpose. The cell notes was a better setup.
Thank you for your feedback. Just to let you know in XLReporter version 2025 the cell notes (cell comments) has been added back when you add a data connection to the template. In addition, the tag headings are ONLY written to the report when the data connection is added if the cells in the row above the connection are blank.
