I have had issues with Win911 getting stuck because an alarm was active when an operator used the "suppress" feature in FactoryTalk Alarm & Events. The alarm strategy didn't recognize that the alarm was no longer active and wouldn't stop notifying operators.
It would be great if Win911 supported features like alarm suppression and shelving. And recognized these actions from FactoryTalk View.
Are there any updates on ensuring that Win911 fully supports alarm suppression and shelving functionalities within FactoryTalk Alarm & Events? These features were mentioned as being part of earlier versions, so it’s essential that they work seamlessly. Ideally, when an alarm is suppressed or shelved in FactoryTalk, WIN911 should recognize this status and stop sending notifications to operators.
Resolving this would greatly improve the integration between FactoryTalk and WIN911, enhancing the reliability of the alarm management system and reducing unnecessary disruptions.
Hello!
Thank you for submitting feedback. We're looking into adding support for suppresion/shelving support for FTAE and iFIX in our next release, currently scheduled for July.
