The OPC DA implementation used by Win911 attempts to pull in every single record field on a particular DA Server as opposed to going branch by branch. On large systems, it is unusable as it is trying to collects millions of record fields.
I have also noticed the same issue. When compared with the OPC Browser built into others tools such as RSLinx Classic for example which returns tags in seconds ,the OPC Browser in the WIN911 reporting interface stalls completely for minutes at a time. The program design of the internal WIN911 browser needs to be completely revisited.
OPC UA point browse also does not work!
